Bhopal NZM 2155 report

For the last 12 days I was in Bhopal and returned to Delhi today morning itself. Some interesting observations at Bhopal station,

1) Mangla from NZM with BSL WAP4

2) Chhattisgarh Exp with GZB WAP4 from NZM with 13 sleeper coaches and 3 AC coaches. (How many other trains have 13 or more sleeper coaches?)

3) BSP Gondwana towards NZM was delayed at BPL itself as chain was pulled many times!!

4) 10 min after Gondwana, TN came and was stranded for a longish duration which i feel was due to late running Gondwana only.

5) at 2120 hrs, 2155 Bhopal Exp came at pf 2 from Habibganj and IT WAS JAM PACKED!!!! Sleepers were full!! The passengers found it difficult to board their reserved seats!! Unauthorised passengers had grabbed up all the coaches SLR and all the sleeper coaches. There was a complete chaos inside the train. The people were going to Delhi for some railway and were "Ram Bhakts".

When I somehow managed to reach my birth with my friends in S-2 somehow, I was surprised to find 14 people already occupying our 4 seats. They were all around. There was chain-pulling for endless number of times as passengers struggled to board the train!! We somehow managed to clear space for luggage and seating. Otherwise people simply refused to leave the seats. The whole night we spent seated, among bidi smoke and chants of Jai Sri Ram. Wonder if the Ram Rajya was like this!! We were scared to open up the middle births as this will attract 4-5 more people in our births!! We managed somehow till midnight but after that we decided to open the middle births. An elder gentleman forcefully made way to us and not-very-politely asked us to make a better arrangement of our luggages so that he could arrange a few more people there!!! I didn't know how to react!! Well, people kept on flowing in in the next two stations as well. On both stations there was chain pulling.

5) In the morning, saw a bit of action after Palwal. We were in the last line. From the 3rd line from us, Taj Exp passed with WAP5 at good speed. We were stopped somewhere. Then AP crossed us from the middle line. Barely a few min later, BCT Raj blasted towards NDLS at a high speed. When we started moving after a few min, we crossed an station and crossed AP there as well. I wondered about the priority of BCT Raj. To let the Raj go first, we were stopped, then AP was stopped and we were allowed to overtake AP.

6) Saw Arakkonam WAP1 at NZM. Which train did it came with?

Well, when I was at NZM saw huge number of Ram Sewaks at NZM. Those who will be taking trains today or tomorrow, please be careful. You may also be forced to travel GS in Sleeper.

While in train, I wondered the power consumptiojn of 30010 with our train. 24 coach load and lots of people. There must be at least 150 in my compartment!!!
