NZM visit 24 Aug 2007

Today I went to NZM for CGSK. (1730 hrs) And it turned out to be a day of many firsts:

1) First time I saw GR, Rajdhani (conventional and LHB) standing together and add an AC inspection car to the list.

Yes Patna GR was in Pf 2 and was lead by 22074. Dehradun NZM Rajdhani AC Spl was on the track between pf 3 and 4. And AK Raj was in Pf 6 wid WAP5 incharge. An inspection car was idle on the track beyond pf 7 (deep red colour).

2) First time I saw AK Raj departing earlier than Mumbai Raj.

Yes AK Raj left NZM at 1700 hrs and Mumbai Raj rumbled past 10 min later. Wonder when the latter would cross the former!! (any comments?)

4) First time I saw 4 ACs in CGSK.

CGSK was hauled by a usual WAM4 from BIA.It had 4 AC coaches. 1 extra B coach. Also it has 1 extra sleeper coach and interestingly it was attached in the middle of the rake just besides the Pantry. The configuration was:
Loco-GS-GS-GS-HA1-A1-B1-EXT(AC3)-PC-EXT(sl)-S(X)-S1-GS-GS-GS.
Seems like SECR had taken much pains to attach the extra Sleeper and AC3 in the middle of the rake. Good thing though.

The following are not the firsts though:
1) Samta came in with ET WAM4 as usual.
2) Gondwana was to depart from pf 4 22066 from BRC.
